A cool down on the way!
A dry cold front that moved through overnight Monday into Tuesday morning will finally bring a break in the heat that we have been stuck under since July 5th. Daytime highs will drop by at least 5 to 10 degrees as we head from the upper 90s and triple digits to the 80s and 90s for most for the remainder of the week, with exceptions like the LC valley who will still see a few 100-degree days. We are watching another dry cold front for Wednesday evening and Thursday morning that will produce gusty winds and the potential for heightened fire danger.
