Missing Winter Yet? Utah Is Feeling The Heat: KSUB News Summary
The National Weather Service is advising that heat advisories and warnings are in place for much of Utah this week. Salt Lake City, Cedar City, and even Logan are predicted to hit triple digits temperatures during the week. Salt Lake City predicted with a high of 100 degrees Tuesday. That number will rise to about 105 degrees by Thursday. No relief is expected until the weekend. NWS says an excessive heat warning goes into effect at 9 a.m. on Wednesday and remains in effect until Friday for most of the state of Utah.

Killer Heat, But St. George Still Not The Hottest It’s Been
Well, you're right. It is. "A motorcyclist is dead after being exposed to record-breaking heat in California's Death Valley National Park. The person was part of a group of motorcyclists riding through the park on Saturday, when the high reached 128 degrees. That broke Death Valley's high temperature record for the July 6th date. Another motorcyclist suffered severe heat illness and was transported to a hospital in Las Vegas. National Park officials say emergency medical helicopters could not respond because they cannot fly safely when it is more than 120 degrees outside."
Large solar power projects up and running in northern Utah following long delays
A project eight years in the making to generate clean solar power underneath the sunny, wide-open skies of Box Elder County is now fully operational. A contingent of investors, managers, customers and construction workers gathered in late May at the site of the Steel Solar project in Plymouth, where approximately 250,000 solar panels are now working to generate 80 megawatts of clean energy for sale to communities all over Utah and several other western states.
