Westminster Coroners’ Court heard Elena Ali and Sunny Parker-Propst were both given sodium nitrite instead of sodium bicarbonate in 2020 while under the care of staff at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

Tristan Dean Gerhardt, 28, was arrested after his 6-month-old baby was hospitalized with fractures in both arms and legs and a bleeding mouth. The father, who was taken into custody on Monday, is facing one count of felony domestic battery resulting in serious bodily injury to a person under 14 and one count of felony neglect of a dependent resulting in serious bodily injury, according to court records.
