    Man accused of leaving meth unattended to serve jail time

    HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – A Henderson man accused of leaving a bag of methamphetamine unattended while gambling at an Evansville casino has now been sentenced.

    Anthony Wayne Barron was sentenced to the department of corrections on the charge of dealing in methamphetamine for a period of 12 years, with three years to be served in prison, followed by one year drug probation with eight years suspended to good behavior. He was also sentenced to an additional 912 days in prison to be served consecutively for failure to appear.

    Evansville Police say Barron was arrested after he told agents he purchased approximately 30 grams of methamphetamine for $300.
