HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – In an effort to trick the police, an Evansville man attempts to identify himself as his twin brother after getting into a car accident with injuries.

According to a police affidavit, Logan Ruff, 21, got into a motor accident with injuries on July 5. When officers questioned Ruff, he allegedly said his name was “Jeremy Ruff.”

Police say when they ran that name in the local RMS system, they apparently found Jeremy Ruff actively booked in VCCC with an alert stating that he has a twin brother name Logan Ruff.

Records state when police tried to handcuff Ruff, he resisted arrest and started running away towards a residential area.

Police say they eventually caught Ruff and arrested him.

Logan Ruff is charged with resisting law enforcement, making a false identity statement and false informing. He is currently being held at the Vanderburgh County Jail
