Road projects beginning today in the Tri-State

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- A few road projects will begin today that will affect Tri-State drivers.

McLean County, Kentucky : A portion of Kentucky 250 will be closed today. Crews will close a portion of the road near the intersection of U.S. 431 to make repairs to a sinkhole. That closure is expected to be lifted by Wednesday morning.

Vanderburgh County, Indiana : Lane restrictions will soon be in place on I-69 North in Evansville. The restrictions will accommodate pre-construction and construction for section 3 of the I-69 Ohio River Crossing Project. The restrictions will impact a mile and a half stretch of I-69 from east of the U.S. 41 interchange to Green River Road. The closure is expected to shift to the right lane of I-69 in August with the closure scheduled end in November. Lane restrictions were scheduled to begin today, but officials say that rain in the forecast has pushed the start date for construction back.

Spencer County, Indiana: A portion of State Road 66 will be closed for a few months. INDOT says that State Road 66 will be closed between McDaniel Cemetery Road and North County Road 1250 East. That portion of the roadway will be closed for replacement and improvement and is expected to last through the beginning of September.
