    Evansville African American Museum unveiling four new exhibits this week

    The Evansville African American Museum will open four new exhibits this week.

    Starting at 6 p.m. on Friday at the museum's location at 529 Sondra Matthews Way, team members will host an unveiling event for the exhibits with music and food.

    The four new exhibits are:

    • Harlems of the Midwest: Indiana and Lincoln Avenues
    • Cultural Responsibility in Evansville: Collaborating for Social Justice
    • Black Heritage in Racing: A Baptisttown Focus
    • Black Art Exhibition Series: Matthew Fields & Kenneth Randle

    Friday's free event will explore Baptisttown and Evansville's Black History through the themes of art, music and more. More information can be found on EVVAAM.org.
