    EVANSVILLE − We're bringing you Tri-State restaurant happenings and food news you need to know. Here's the latest.

    Crisp & Green now open in The Promenade

    A Crisp & Green restaurant is now open soon in The Promenade shopping center. The national chain has almost 50 locations, but Evansville's will be the first in Indiana. On the menu are be healthy dishes including entree salads, grain bowls, wraps, smoothies, acai bowls, and more.

    Crisp & Green is at 6436 E. Florida St., Suite 104.

    Turkish restaurant nears opening

    Marida Restaurant, the upcoming Turkish and Kurdish restaurant going into the former Edgewater Grill building in Newburgh, has a Facebook page and has announced a planned opening in late July or early August..

    The page has photos and explanations of food from Marida’s parent restaurant, Edessa, in Nashville, Tenn. Check it out to see manti dumplings, Turkish kebobs, Lahmacun Turkish “pizza,” and more.

    Marida will be at 1 E. Water St., Newburgh, Indiana.

    Prime Murder Mystery

    The Prime Time Pub & Grill in Newburgh will host a pirate-themed Murder Mystery Dinner on Thursday, Aug. 1, beginning at 6 p.m. Diners participate as characters. The ticket price of $40 includes dinner. Drinks will be sold separately. There will be prizes, including for best dressed pirate. Seating is limited.     Prime Tequila Tasting

    Prime Time Pub & Grill North will be hosting a tequila tasting with Herradura Tequila on Thursday, July 25, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The price is $40 and will include multiple tequila tastings, small plate pairings and take-home gifts. Call or stop by the restaurant to reserve a spot.

    Sunrise Cafe open on East Side

    The Sunrise Cafe has opened a second location on Evansville's East Side. The original Sunrise Cafe is on North 41, in the former Iwataya Japanese Restaurant building. On the menu are American diner classics for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    Tater Temptations

    Tater Temptations is a new pop-up restaurant operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. out of the Kitchen 812 commissary space. On the menu are loaded baked potatoes with toppings including barbecued pulled pork, grilled chicken, queso, bacon and more. Check the Facebook page for any changes in hours, the full menu and daily specials. Call or text ahead to order. Orders are curbside-pickup only.
