EVANSVILLE — Mayor Stephanie Terry is asking for residents to help the city create a strategic plan.

The plan is focused on city government, and the mayor's office is asking for the public to share thoughts on city priorities and services, as well as the city overall.

Residents can do so at https://tinyurl.com/evvsurvey .

“We entered into this strategic planning process because we want to make sure that we have clear direction and focused priorities, and to ensure that we are operating efficiently as a city government,” Terry said in a news release. “A clear piece of that is listening to and understanding the experiences, the concerns, and the priorities of the people who live and work in our community. That’s what this survey is about: We want to hear your thoughts and opinions about our community, and we want to learn about your experiences with city government.”

The city announced in June it entered a contract with Louisville-based Crowe LLP, a public accounting, consulting, and technology firm to create a strategic plan for Evansville.

The Evansville City Council approved $168,000 of American Rescue Plan interest money to go toward city strategic planning during its May 20 meeting.

According to the city, the process will take about five months.
