EPD investigating suspicious death on North Fifth Avenue

HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – The Evansville Police Department is investigating a death on North Fifth Avenue.

EPD is calling the death suspicious.

Officials state officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of said location at approximately 4:30 p.m. Officers on scene located a deceased female behind a vacant house.

EPD says it is an active investigation and a cause of death has not been determined at this time. An autopsy will be conducted later Friday.

Officials say the name of the victim will be released by the Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office.
