The Americana singer/songwriter released an album, One Man's Story, in January of 2024; the concept album, inspired by the storytelling of John Steinbeck, follows a Midwestern man from the age of 13 through his life to old age and becoming a widower. The University of Minnesota Duluth women's basketball team adds a former rival to the bench, welcoming Ashley Gustavson to the coaching staff as an intern assistant coach for the 2024-25 season. One person burned in Virginia structure fire Friday
VIRGINIA, Minn. (Northern News Now) - According to Friends of the Northland FireWire, one person sustained several burns in a structure fire Friday night north of Virginia. According to a social media post from FireWire, firefighters from Cook, Kinney-Great Scott, and Pike-Sandy-Britt battled the structure fire in the 7800 block of Lake 14 Road.
H5N1 strikes another large layer farm in Colorado, dairy herd in Minnesota
Both of the layer farms are in Weld County in the northeastern corner of the state, where several outbreaks have been reported in dairy cattle.
