Two cats killed in house, business fire in Everett

EVERETT, Pa. (WTAJ) — Crews responded to the scene of a fire that spread from a house to a trailer and local business in Everett Thursday afternoon.
The fire broke out along the 200 block of W. Main Street near Everett Foodliner. The fire started in the house and spread to First Impressions, a local hair salon, and a trailer behind the house.
No one was injured but the residents of both the house and trailer have been displaced. Two cats were killed but four others and a turtle, some fish and two dogs were rescued.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal.

Fire departments from Everett and Bedford responded, as well as companies from Fulton, Blair and Allegany, Md. Counties.
The American Red Cross was contacted to assist both families displaced in the fire.
