The Mountain Music Festival is returning to Evergreen, Colo. this summer on Aug. 3.

Eight music acts will be performing on two stages at Buchanan Park (near the rec center) from noon until 9 pm.

The bands cover the gamut, from rock and roll to bluegrass and funk.

One interesting band in the line-up is Hand Turkey, formed by an Evergreen High School graduate in 2020.

Hand Turkey offers a mix of funk, soul, and pop, and is all about getting people moving and letting loose. (I never knew a hand turkey is also a method for little kids to draw turkeys. Very clever.)

A half dozen food vendors will be at the event and beer, wine, and margaritas will be available.

As noted, the venue is Buchanan Park , 32003 Ellingwood Trail Evergreen, CO 80439. There's some very important information about getting to Buchanan Park and parking, transit, and other travel-related things here .

The line-up of performaners can be seen here (or below).

    The Line-Up

    Noon – 12:30 Non-Prophet Stage Two

12:45 – 1:30 George Gray and the Elvis Experience Band Stage One

    1:45 – 2:15 Jenna Weidner Stage Two

    2:30 – 3:15 Trouble Bound Stage One

3:30 – 4:15 Hand Turkey Band Stage Two

4:30 – 5:30 Denver Rock Orchestra/Dirty Snowman Society Stage One

6:00 – 7:00 Steve Knight and Elle Green (Flipsyde) Stage One

Profits from the festival will benefit the Wooden Hawk Foundation.

Established in 2023 by the Peeters Vanags Family of Evergreen, the Wooden Hawk Foundation is a non-profit whose mission is “to provide ongoing support to the Evergreen mountain community school system in areas such as educational, mentoring, and financial.”

All proceeds will go to the Wooden Hawk Foundation’s two inaugural projects: The Futures Center at Evergreen High School and the Evergreen High School Alumni Center.
