Moth Man adopted after being rescued by LFACC ‘from life of severe neglect’
LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — After surviving abandonment by his former owners, Moth Man the dog has been adopted into a new loving home. Moth Man had been abandoned in a move back in early August after what the Lexington Humane Society said was “a life of severe neglect.” Another dog abandoned in the house with Moth Man did not survive the abandonment, according to authorities.
Morehead State Volleyball Claims 3-1 Exhibition Win Over Miami (Ohio)
Morehead State volleyball began the season with a 3-1 exhibition victory against Miami (Ohio) at Johnson Arena. The Eagles showcased depth by utilizing all 16 roster players under second-year head coach Kyrsten Becker-McBride. After a close start, they won sets one, three, and four decisively. Eagle Soccer Looks to Build Off Win in Home Opener
MOREHEAD | Morehead State soccer will open its home season on Sunday as it hosts Detroit Mercy at the MSU Soccer Field at 1 p.m. The Eagles finished 2023 with a 4-1-4 record on their own field but went 1-1 at home during this fall's exhibition campaign. They currently sport an 8-game undefeated streak in regular-season contests at the MSU Soccer Field, including winning their last three. Over that latter stretch, the Blue and Gold outscored its opponents 5-1. "(We're) excited to play at home for the first time this season," MSU head coach Paul Cox said. "They're a strong team that are better than their record suggests. They have brought in a number of players from the portal, and they are a well-organized and gritty team, who are going to make it very tough for us."
Breathitt Co. business destroyed in fire
JACKSON, Ky. (WYMT) - A business in Breathitt County was destroyed after an early Saturday morning fire. Officials with the Jackson Fire Department said the fire happened at a building on Lower Main St. in Jackson. Crews blocked off the road for several hours as they put out the flames.
