WeCAN gears up for annual Spring Fest

WeCAN has announced that the organization will host Spring Fest 2024 on Thursday, May 9, at the Pique Event Center in Excelsior.

WeCAN (Western Communities Action Network), is a small but mighty community nonprofit that provides support services to empower and equip individuals and families to reach stability and self-sufficiency.

For 35 years, WeCAN has served low-income residents in the 12 cities of far western Hennepin County and acts as a safety net when people are in crisis and have nowhere else to turn. WeCAN is mainly supported by individual donations, family foundations and assistance from community groups.

The event will include an appetizer buffet, beer, wine, seltzers, soft drinks, live music by Sweet Briar, silent auction, and a program to showcase the important work they do in our community. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased online at wecanmn.org.

All proceeds will benefit WeCAN programs for those in need.
