    Summer is in full swing on the Seacoast. Head out this weekend for live music, the American Independence Festival in Exeter, the Lilac City Family Fun Festival in Rochester, free movies and musical performances.

    Dine Out Do Good at Tour in Portsmouth

    What: Tour restaurant in Portsmouth is donating a percentage of proceeds to support Lydia’s House of Hope.

    Where: Tour Portsmouth, 581 Lafayette Road, Portsmouth

    Aaron Lewis at the Casino Ballroom

    What: Aaron Lewis, a Vermont-born performer, first found success with Staind — the 2000s-era hard rockers. Now a series of solo country projects have led to two No. 1 Billboard country album debuts.

    When: Friday, July 12, 8 p.m.

    Where: Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom, 169 Ocean Blvd., Hampton Beach

    Rick Rude at MrSippy BBQ

    What: Rick Rude feasts on mystical fungi, boredom, mushy guitar riffs, and the delicacy of the human soul.

    When: Friday, July 12, 8-10 p.m.

    Where: MrSippy BBQ, 184 South Main St., Rochester

    Cost: $10

    American Independence Festival in Exeter and Independence Jam

    What: The 34th American Independence Festival in downtown Exeter runs 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday Independence Jam is 10 a.m.-4 p.m. with live music, vendors and food trucks on Swasey Parkway. There is also an Exeter Parks & Rec sponsored concert at Swasey Parkway is at 7 p.m., followed by fireworks at 9 p.m.

    When: Saturday, July 13, 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

    Where: Area around the American Independence Museum at 1 Governors Lane in Exeter, and Swasey Parkway in Exeter.

    Cost: The festival and evening events are free. The Indpendence Jam admission is $10-$20.

    Lilac City Family Fun Festival

    What: Free kiddie carnival rides for young children, games, food trucks, local vendors, family-friendly activities, and live entertainment, followed by fireworks. Please, no outside fireworks or sparklers. Service pets ONLY. Parking is limited. Consider parking your car downtown and walk (if you're able) or utilize the shuttle service.

    When: Saturday, July 13 from 4-9 p.m. (Rain date Sunday, July 14 from 4-9 p.m.)

    Where: Spaulding High School and the James W. Foley Memorial Community Center, 150 Wakefield St., Rochester

    Cost: Free

    Free Family Movie Night at The Ridge

    What: "Peter Pan & Wendy" with pre-movie entertainment. Bring a chair and a blanket and snacks or order takeout from Ridge restaurants.

    When: Saturday, July 13, Pre-entertainment from 6-8 p.m. Movie from 8:30-10 p.m.

    Where: The Ridge, 92 Farmington Road, Rochester

    Cost: Free

    Little Lies – A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac at The Stone Church

    What: Little Lies is an eight-piece tribute band from Boston performing Fleetwood Mac hits.

    Up Close & Personal PSO Chamber Music Series at Jimmy’s

    What: Join the Portsmouth Brass Quintet for an entertaining juxtaposition of theatre and jazz. The quintet will pay tribute to the Broadway musicals "Chicago" and "A Chorus Line."

    When: Sunday, July 14, 6 p.m.

    Where: Jimmy’s Jazz & Blues Club, 135 Congress St., Portsmouth

    Prince Daddy & The Hyena with Saturdays At Your Place, Riley!, Carpool at 3S Artspace

    What: Performances by Prince Daddy & The Hyena with Saturdays At Your Place, Riley!, Carpool.

    Where: 3S Artspace, 319 Vaughan St., Portsmouth

    The War and Treaty at Prescott Park

    What: Founded in 2014 by the husband-and-wife duo Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Trotter, The War And Treaty is billed as one of the most electrifying new acts in American music.

    When: Monday, July 15, 7 p.m.

    Where: Prescott Park Arts Festival, 105 Marcy St., Portsmouth
