WWE has confirmed a new segment for tonight’s SmackDown that started with a back-and-forth on social media between Cody Rhodes and Grayson Waller. After a verbal exchange between the two on X on Thursday, WWE has confirmed that “The American Nightmare” will join the A-Town Down Under member on “The Grayson Waller Effect” on tonight’s show.

– Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes were able to get along in order to beat A-Town Down Under on this week’s episode of WWE Smackdown. Friday night’s show saw Owens and Rhodes battle Austin Theory and Grayson Waller in the main event and come out victorious. After the match, Owens grabbed the Undisputed WWE Championship and looked like he might hit Rhodes from behind with it, but instead walked by him and handed him the title before talking trash to Waller and Theory:

The Bloodline makes a change. On the August 23rd episode of WWE SmackDown, The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu) came to the ring. Sikoa stated that Roman Reigns was done after the group attacked him the previous week. He looked forward to WWE Bash in Berlin and claimed that he had next regarding the Undisputed WWE Championship match between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens. He said that he would bring the title back to the family.

The Women’s Tag Team titles will be on the line in Berlin. SmackDown General Manager Nick Alids announced on social media Friday that The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn) would defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles against former champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair at Bash in Berlin on August 31.

AEW/ROH wrestler Nick Comoroto will be out of action through the end of the year. Comoroto posted a tweet on Friday revealing that he recently underwent hip resurfacing surgery. He said that, for nearly two years, he was basically wrestling on one leg. Comoroto is looking forward to getting back in the ring in early 2025.
