Kevin Durant was thoroughly impressed with Stephen Curry 's performance against Serbia yesterday. Speaking to reporters after the game , Durant had high praise for Curry's outing, calling it a godlike performance from the former two-time NBA MVP. Durant believed it was one of Curry's best games ever.

“That was a godlike performance. God was with him tonight. It was one of the greatest games I’ve ever seen him play.”

Durant has first-hand experience watching Curry take over games. The two used to play together in Golden State between 2016 and 2019 and had great games together. But what Curry did yesterday was nothing short of stupendous, as he snatched a victory out of the jaws of defeat for Team USA .

Curry had 36 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal in yesterday's game. He made the big go-ahead shot for Team USA that put them in the lead and helped them seal the win in the late stages of the game. It was one of the most clutch shots that Curry ever hit in his career and allowed him to have his first iconic performance in a Team USA jersey.

Curry spoke after the game about his experience with Team USA at his first Olympics. He was very proud of the team and the effort they put in, and exclaimed that this was the most fun he has had playing basketball in quite some time. It was great to see Curry in such good spirits after what was a very difficult game for Team USA.

Stephen Curry Delivered In The Big Moment

Stephen Curry stepped up in a way we hadn't seen from him in the tournament so far. Prior to yesterday's game, Curry had scored just 29 points across his last four games, and gone 5-20 from the three-point line. Whereas against Serbia, Curry was clinical from beyond the arc, going 9-14 from the three-point line.

Curry and Team USA will now turn their attention to the gold medal game on Saturday, where they must overcome the host nation France, and the massive home advantage they have from the crowd support. Joel Embiid, who has faced a lot of backlash from the French fans, will need to use the boos as motivation against France.

He already seemed to clap back against the French fans in yesterday's game, as he intentionally celebrated Team USA's win right in front of them. But he must be able to deliver a big performance against France in the gold medal game if he wants any kind of reprieve from the negative fan sentiment that he has faced this tournament.

For Curry, he will have the chance to win his first-ever Olympic gold medal at this year's games if Team USA vanquishes Paris. Curry has never represented his country at the Olympics until now, and this will be a massive opportunity for him to add to his already legendary legacy.
