Celtics star Jaylen Brown has been busy this summer, and his latest project involved a free style with rapping legend ASAP Ferg. Jaylen's rap recently went viral online after fans caught wind of the reference to former Rockets player Kevin Porter Jr.

“Open your mind and let the words flow, baby you is mine I wanna let the world know, She rocking my jersey all up in the stands... I learned how to touch her [Kysre Gondrezick] without using my hands.”

The offseason is the perfect time for NBA stars to embrace their favorite hobbies, and one popular summer activity is recording in the studio to release a new song. Damian Lillard is arguably the player who is most known for this given that he's got multiple pieces out right now.

Fresh off winning a championship with the Celtics, Jaylen Brown felt it was the right time to release his first song. The track itself isn't anything special and the critics are split on its quality. Still, that one line about Porter Jr. was enough to get people talking.

While Jaylen did not mention Kysre Gondrezick by name, it's safe to assume that's the woman he mentions in the song. The pair are believed to be in a relationship and have been steady for months following her dramatic breakup with Kevin Porter Jr.

The situation between Gondrezick (a former WNBA player) and Porter Jr. went public last year when the details of their violent ordeal were first revealed. According to reports from the time, Porter Jr. beat on Gondrezick so badly at a New York hotel room that it left her with a fractured neck and multiple cuts on her face and body . Porter Jr. was arrested that night and held on a $100,000 bond.

Kysre would later try and correct some of the accusations, but the damage was already done. After an investigation by the Rockets, the NBA, and law enforcement, Porter Jr. was exiled from the league and it's unlikely that he'll ever get another chance in the NBA. He lost the majority of his $82.5 million contract and is currently playing overseas for a fraction of the pay.

The whole ordeal ruined Porter Jr.'s career but he has nobody to blame but himself for how it all played out. Had he just kept his emotions in check and kept his hands to himself, he might still be active in the league today as a young rising star for the Rockets.

Instead, he's become the target of slander for Jaylen Brown's debut track. From that one line alone, the song has generated widespread praise and it's gone viral after being shared countless times by the community.

Regarding what comes next for Jaylen Brown, we have surely not heard the last of his musical endeavors and we can expect more tracks to come over the next few months and years. Only time will tell how long his relationship with Gondrezick pans out but all signs point to a healthy dynamic between the couple.
