In a segment on "The BIG Podcast," Lakers legend Shaquille O'Neal spilled the tea on former NBA big man, Dennis Rodman. As Shaq described on the podcast, Rodman was a very active person and unlike anyone he had encountered before or since.

"This dude would come in, the meeting's at 5:30, he'll come in with 40 minutes on the clock eating chicken and rice, not paying attention during the middle of the meeting. Take a cold shower, not paying attention. We go out first then he'll come out. He’ll come out and get you 25 rebounds, stanking like a motherfu*ker, put his clothes on and go to the club and have the baddest women I have ever seen in my life. I'm like this motherf***er stank like garbage truck water. And he got models on him in the club. I was a party guy I threw some parties, I had some dates, but I ain't never seen what I seen with Dennis Rodman."

On the court, Dennis Rodman was not on the same level as Shaquille O'Neal , Michael Jordan , or even Scottie Pippen, but he was valuable in the paint as a shot-blocking, rebounding machine. Over 14 years in the NBA, over various stints with the Bulls , Pistons, Spurs, Lakers, and Mavericks, Rodman averaged 7.3 points, 13.1 rebounds, and 0.6 blocks per game on 52% shooting. He retired in 2000 as a 5x champion, 2x All-Star, and 2x Defensive Player of the Year.

But even more than his play on the court, Rodman was known for his wild and eccentric lifestyle. The star big man would frequently host intense house parties where he'd invite players, celebrities and countless women to drink, smoke, and gamble. In a story told years ago, Shaq went into detail about one of Rodman's parties , where he went wild with Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert Downey Jr., and countless topless women.

If not at his own place, Rodman would frequently fly to his favorite spots so he could satisfy his urges. Las Vegas was a common destination for Rodman and he once attended 20-25 Las Vegas parties during a single season . He would go there after a game or practice and fly back the very next night.

Whether it was in-season or out-of-season, Rodman didn't care about the time or place. He was always looking for the next rush and it somehow never impeded his impact on the court. To the shock and awe of his teammates, Rodman would party like it was his last night on earth and then turn around to be ready for a game hours later.

Of course, it isn't just partying that Rodman is known for. In general, his personality is considered by many to be somewhat taboo and he's known to keep some unusual friends. One such friend is North Korea dictator Kim Jong Un, who typically keeps himself at a distance from others. Somehow, Rodman developed a relationship with him, visited his country, and probably knows him better than the United States government .

In many ways, Dennis Rodman is one of a kind and his story is as unique as it gets for an NBA athlete. The way he used to party while still taking care of business on the court is impressive, to say the least, and it's not easily replicated by any athlete. Today, all these years later, Rodman's antics are still remembered by his teammates and his legacy as a party animal will forever stay unmatched.
