Anthony Edwards and Vikings star Justin Jefferson have reportedly taken a picture together where they exchange their jerseys, according to Alex Conover. The picture, which is a recreation of the iconic picture of Minnesota sports stars Kevin Garnett and Randy Moss from decades ago.

The original picture with Garnett and Moss was taken in 2000 for Sports Illustrated, and it commemorated two rising young stars who were bringing Minnesota franchises, the Timberwolves , and the Vikings respectively, to the spotlight after years of struggling for success.

Similarly, Anthony Edwards and Justin Jefferson are doing the same for these franchises right now. Jefferson is considered one of the best young wide receivers in the NFL, and has brought the Vikings back to a level of prominence they haven't experienced in years.

As for Anthony Edwards, he has become the key star for the Timberwolves in the last few years. His incredible talent combined with his natural charisma has made him beloved by fans.

And last season, he started to deliver in a way the Timberwolves hadn't seen for years, as he led them to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2004 when Kevin Garnett was the leader of the team.

Edwards has been dubbed one of the future faces of the NBA, as the former number-one overall pick has gone from strength to strength. He is garnering a lot of support and popularity with his play and is starting to find success on the court with the Timberwolves.

    Anthony Edwards Stirring Up Controversy

Anthony Edwards caused a little controversy with his recent comments about NBA players from the bygone era. Edwards claimed that Michael Jordan was the only skilled player of his era , ignoring several stars from the 80s and 90s during this discussion.

Unsurprisingly, these comments did not sit well with players from this era. Jordan's former teammate Ron Harper shut down Edwards' narrative by explaining that Edwards was being disrespectful to his elders and the players who paved the way for him in the previous era.

Magic Johnson did the same , and was actually far more brutal in his response, claiming that he would not respond to a player that hasn't won an NBA championship.

As for Kevin Garnett, the Timberwolves legend went one step further, and reversed Edwards' claims, noting that no player in the modern era would be able to compete in the NBA of 20 years ago , citing the physicality and toughness the game had during that era.

It is clear that Edwards' comments did upset a lot of people, and many felt that he was being dismissive of the previous era, especially considering he hadn't watched much of it in his childhood. Perhaps Edwards will issue an apology or clarification at some point for his comments.
