Anthony Davis and LeBron James have grown quite close to each other during their time as teammates on the Los Angeles Lakers . So, it wasn't a surprise when it was revealed on "The Shop," that Davis had FaceTimed LeBron when Bronny James was drafted, but what was a surprise, was what he told his teammate.

"There was a cool moment that night where, after Bronny got drafted, AD FaceTimes Bron," host Paul Rivera said. "And Bron's like 'What's up AD?' He's like, 'I ain't called to talk to you.'"

James then revealed that Davis hilariously told him he only wanted to talk to his new teammate, Bronny.

"AD FaceTimed me like, 'I don't want to talk to you, I want to talk to my new teammate. Put him on the phone,'" James said.

That was epic on Davis' part and I'm sure he also made Bronny feel very welcome with it. While many on the outside took issue with the Lakers selecting LeBron's son with the 55th pick of the 2024 NBA Draft, it doesn't seem to have caused any issues internally.

In fact, Davis had reportedly made it clear he'd have no issues with the Lakers picking Bronny beforehand. The nine-time All-Star was impressed by how the 19-year-old was able to break down the defense, get into the teeth of it, and set up his teammates for success, during his pre-draft workout.

If Bronny can do that on a consistent basis in the NBA, then he will go on to have a long and productive career. It's a big "if" though.

LeBron James Can't Wait To Share The Floor With Bronny In The NBA

For the last couple of years, LeBron has openly spoken about his dream of wanting to play with his son Bronny in the NBA. He is now very close to realizing that dream and is understandably getting very excited. During this episode, LeBron stated he can't wait to play with Bronny.

"I can’t wait for this moment. I really cannot wait to hit the floor with [Bronny]. It’s going to be pretty surreal for me. That might be the first time I sit back like, ‘Oh, s—, this is really cool.’"

"I’ve been so in the moment my whole career that I pray and hope that me being with my son will finally give me the opportunity to pull back and appreciate it."

The day that LeBron and Bronny step out on the court together will be a momentous one. They will become the first father-son duo to share the court in NBA history and it will be interesting to see if it happens on opening night against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

It was made clear once again during the Summer League in Las Vegas, that Bronny isn't ready just yet to play significant minutes in the NBA. The teenager only averaged 8.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game and is still very raw as a prospect. It's highly unlikely that he'll have a positive impact if he steps out on the court against the Timberwolves, but considering LeBron's eagerness, I think the Lakers might well end up giving him some game time.
