Las Vegas Aces superstar A'ja Wilson made history on Sunday when she became the first WNBA player to score 1,000 points in a single season. As the basketball world showered Wilson with praise, fans on X were desperate to get her rumored boyfriend Bam Adebayo's reaction to the feat and he initially responded to their requests with a funny picture.

The fans then got their wish a short while after as Adebayo sent out a hilarious post.

"Hope everybody finds A'thousand reasons to smile on this lovely Sunday."

Adebayo didn't mention Wilson in the post, but that's about as obvious as one can get without stating the name. This has been a running theme between these two, as they refuse to mention each other's names in their posts on social media.

It wasn't a surprise then, that Wilson didn't directly respond to Adebayo's post either. She did, though, post a GIF just minutes after and fans are convinced that was her reaction to it.

Adebayo and Wilson just continue to keep their fans waiting by refusing to go public. It seems so obvious to everyone that they are dating, but the two don't want to say it out loud for whatever reason. You'd think it would only be a matter of time before they do, but they seem to be enjoying acting in this manner for now.

Adebayo and Wilson first sparked dating rumors when they were spotted together in Las Vegas at Team USA's training camp. They were then seen hanging out in Paris during the Olympics and continued to do so on their return to the U.S. After Wilson broke the WNBA single-season scoring record in a game against the Indiana Fever last week, the two were spotted together in Indianapolis.

Adebayo had also congratulated Wilson on breaking the record in typical fashion.

    "U'nanimous."

Well, Wilson could potentially become the first-ever unanimous MVP in WNBA history this year. The 28-year-old has been simply phenomenal all season long and would be deserving of the honor.

Wilson is averaging 27.0 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.8 steals, and 2.6 blocks per game in this 2024 campaign. She hit that 1000-point mark against the Connecticut Sun on Sunday and here is that historic shot that got her there.

Wilson and the Aces still have two games left this season, so it will be interesting to see what number she ends up with. The two-time MVP would be hoping to cap off this historic season by hoisting the championship once again.

The Aces are the two-time defending champions but aren't the favorites this time around. If they are to three-peat, they'll need Wilson to be at her absolute best in the postseason and I wouldn't bet against her.
