Scottie Pippen has turned philosophical these days, as he now prefers sharing wisdom with his followers on X instead of causing a stir by making controversial statements. Pippen recently shared some great advice on X, stating how one can find true happiness in life.

"As you get older, you’ll realize that a $30,000 watch and a $30 watch both tell the same time. A Gucci wallet and a Target wallet hold the same amount of money. A $10,000,000 house and a $100,000 house host the same loneliness. A Ford will also drive you as far as a Bentley. True happiness is not found in materialistic things, it comes from the love and laughter found with each other. Stay humble… the holes dug for us in the ground are all the same size."

Pippen was pretty much on point with everything there. One will never attain true happiness with just materialistic possessions. It's only by cultivating meaningful relationships, that one sets themselves on the path to attaining it. It's also important to stay humble and not view yourself above everyone else.

Pippen, who reportedly has a net worth of $20 million, appears to have come to that realization with time. He spent 17 seasons in the NBA and made around $109 million in salaries, which meant he could afford all the luxuries in the world. That didn't give him true happiness, though, and he now wants others to know what they actually need to pursue in order to live a fulfilling life.

As for Pippen's closest relationships, it appears he has experienced quite a few ups and downs. He married Karen McCollum in 1988 and the two had a son together named Antron. In 1990, though, the couple got divorced.

Pippen then got into a relationship with Sonya Ruby, who birthed twin daughters named Taylor and Tyler Roby in 1994. Tyler would pass away just days after her birth, however, and Pippen has never spoken about that tragic loss. He and Ruby then parted ways at some point and he would later get engaged to Yvette De Leon

Pippen and De Leon welcomed a daughter named Sierra in 1995, but they never ended up getting married. After that engagement was broken off, Pippen would get romantically involved with the woman he is often associated with today, Larsa Younan.

Scottie and Larsa got married in 1997 and would go on to have four children together: Scotty Jr., Preston, Justin, and Sophia. For the longest time, everything seemed fine between the couple, but he then filed for divorce in 2016. Scottie later retracted the petition, but they wouldn't be together for much longer.

Larsa filed for divorce in 2018 and it was finalised in 2021. While she would then enter into a very public relationship with Marcus Jordan, Scottie has kept things relatively private since then.

The 58-year-old also seems to be spending a fair bit of time supporting his children, as he has been spotted attending some of Scotty Pippen Jr.'s games. Pippen clearly values their relationship and it might well be one of the few things that brings true happiness to the Hall of Famer these days.
