Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook beefed for years following the former's departure from the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2016, but it's all love between the two now. Durant and Westbrook were among the big names who attended the college football game between Colorado and Kansas State on Saturday and the former teammates warmly greeted each other when they met.

It's wonderful to see Durant and Westbrook on such good terms now. At one point, it had seemed like these two might never even get back on talking terms, but fortunately, things didn't turn out that way.

Durant and Westbrook were teammates for eight seasons on the Thunder and enjoyed a fair bit of success together. They led the team to the NBA Finals in 2012 and made three trips to the Conference Finals as well. It was after the last of those trips, in which they lost in seven games to the Golden State Warriors, that things went south between them.

Durant shockingly joined the Warriors the following offseason and Westbrook wasn't happy about it, to say the least. He infamously dissed his former teammate by posting a picture of cupcakes on Instagram and there were some tense moments between them when they faced off on the court too.

Time does tend to heal all wounds and that's what appears to have happened here as well. Just don't expect Westbrook to go easy on Durant on the court because of that, though. It's just not in his DNA and I won't be surprised if we see these two chirp at each other when the Phoenix Suns take on the Denver Nuggets this upcoming season.

As for who else showed up for this game at Folsom Field, John Wall, Carmelo Anthony, Kiyan Anthony, CC Sabathia, Cam'Ron, and Bradley Beal were all present.

Those in attendance almost got to witness a stunning comeback win for the Buffaloes. They were down 21-7 in the third quarter but roared back and took a 28-24 lead late in the fourth. The Wildcats, however, managed to retake the lead and held on to win 31-28.

Russell Westbrook Says He Has No Beef With Kevin Durant And Respects Him

Westbrook and Durant faced each other in the playoffs for the first time last year in the first round and unsurprisingly, their relationship was a big talking point in the lead-up to the series. Westbrook made it clear, though, that he has no beef with Durant.

"It'll be normal for me. I think people still think there's some beef or something," said Russ. "There's no beef. I got nothing but respect for him and the things he's done with his career. Happy to see him back from injury."

Westbrook also spoke on how Durant's game had evolved over the years.

"He's always been very efficient, but his ability to be even more efficient and still score the ball at a high rate. Probably one of the best scorers I've seen, can score the ball at a high rate."

Durant, meanwhile, later claimed that he and Westbrook never had beef , but not many bought that. There was certainly a lot of tension between them at one point but it's all gone now.
