It's no secret that Michael Jordan and Kwame Brown weren't on great terms during their time on the Washington Wizards and Gilbert Arenas recently shared a wild story about them during an appearance on The Underground Lounge .

"We in Chicago," Arenas said. "... His (Brown's) hero is Jordan, his nemesis is Jordan, but his real nemesis is (Charles) Oakley, right? 'Cause Oakley scared the s*** out of him... So Jordan used to talk s***. I remember we sitting at the bar and Jordan (was) there.

"Kwame's like, 'Yeah, I'mma f*** him up, I'mma whoop his a** now. Yeah. He by himself.' So Kwame's like, 'He by himself... Bartender, shots. Give me five.' So, Jordan come, 'Hey h*e. What your a** over here doing h*e?' And Kwame didn't say nothing," Arenas continued. "All you see was Kwame take them, hit them s****. Boom. Boom.

"And I can say Jordan's mother******* brilliant mother******* mind," Arenas added. "He seen it, and he was like, 'Oh, you trying to get some courage, huh?' Hey, no dead like, he peeped in like, 'Oh, you trying to get some courage, huh? Oakley downstairs.'

"That's all MJ said," Arenas stated. "... I can tell you, five shots in my system? I'm done. I don't know what type of shots Kwame took but Oakley downstairs sobered him up quick. Whatever that liquor was going to do god damn it the name Oakley reversed that s***."

Well, I don't think anyone can blame Brown for acting in that manner after finding out Charles Oakley was around. That's not a man you want to exchange blows with, especially as it appears Oakley had previously threatened to beat up Brown when he was a rookie.

"They used to bring old veterans into practice just to have them foul and beat the crap out of me every day," Brown said. "I had Charles Oakley threatening to beat me up. I was an 18-year-old KID. Ya’ll thought I was weak. I’m one of the strongest men, ya’ll know. If ya’ll experience what I experienced at the age of 18, ya’ll would have been looking for the highest bridge to jump from."

The more you hear about Brown's time with the Wizards, the worse it gets. It sure doesn't look like he found himself in a great environment after being selected with the first pick of the 2001 NBA Draft.

Kwame Brown Claims He Once Beat Michael Jordan 1-On-1

Brown is regarded as one of the biggest busts in NBA history while Jordan is regarded as arguably the greatest player ever. Despite that, it turns out the big man might have gotten the better of the icon when they once faced off. Brown claimed he beat Jordan in a 1-on-1 game.

"I beat him in 1-on-1," Brown claimed. "The first thing I wanted to do was to play him 1-on-1. It’s basketball, just like if I was a boxer, the first thing I want to do is spar with those great heavyweights."

He added: "So the first thing I said was, ‘I hear a lot about you, but I think I’m better than you.’ So we ended up playing 1-on-1. It was a fun game, good game. I jumped on him quick then he started doing the MJ thing, fading away everywhere."

Considering Jordan was in his late 30s when the Wizards drafted Brown out of high school, perhaps he could have gotten the better of him. That's still hard to believe, though, considering how the big man's career panned out.
