Scrap metal company exec, 24, dies in crash near Jersey Shore
The 24-year-old vice president of a scrap metal business died Saturday evening in a fiery crash involving another vehicle near the Jersey Shore, according to police. Kevin Scoda, of Edison, died after his vehicle collied with another car on Route 72 in Stafford Township in Ocean County, police said Tuesday. The crash happened near highway’s intersection with Mill Creek Road.

MODC Elects New President and Board Members
Christine Hanlon, the Monmouth County Clerk, recently inducted a new president and board members for The Monmouth-Ocean Development Council (MODC), Wall Township. Thomas Gilmour, founding trustee of the Asbury Park Music Foundation, was named the president of MODC for a two-year term, replacing Matt Appel, Beacon Wealth Partners, who completed his two-year term. Other new executive committee members for 2024 are Charlene Archer, Treasurer; Karen Campi, Secretary; John Casagrande; John LeMay; Steve Reinman; and Linda Savino. Brian Waldron was re-elected to the Executive Committee.

Just a few days ago I wrote about a new restaurant that opened in Franklin Park, New Jersey that was banning kinds under 10 after 4 p.m. The Indian fusion restaurant called Andaaz was trying to have a more upscale vibe.
