Passaic County Police Academy Donates Smartboards to Paterson and West Paterson Fire Departments
PATERSON, NJ - The Passaic County Police Academy has donated two stand-mounted Smartboards to the Paterson and West Paterson Fire Departments as part of a recent classroom technology upgrade. Funded by a grant from the New Jersey Law Enforcement Officers’ Training Fund, the upgrade allowed the Academy to install new wall-mounted Smartboards in five classrooms, enhancing its training environment.With the new equipment in place, the Academy deemed two older, yet fully functional, Smartboards as surplus. Car Crashes Into Building In Summit: Authorities
Firefighters and police responded to the scene at Norwood Avenue at 9:43 a.m., a spokesperson for the City of Summit said in a release. Upon arrival, crews discovered that a resident’s vehicle had crashed through an internal wall in the garage, causing mild structural damage, authorities said. The gas and water lines in the unit were also damaged as a result of the crash, authorities said.
