Two future Huskers help Team USA to runner-up finish at Honkbalweek Haarlem
Two Huskers helped Team USA to a championship game appearance in an international tournament over the week. Newcomers Robby Bolin, Luke Broderick, and Team USA lost to Team Japan in the historic Honkbalweek Haarlem title game. The NJCAA Baseball Coaches Association selected the team. Its roster was narrowed down from 120 players to its current 24-man size. Bolin was named the tournament’s best hitter. He finished a .391 batting average in the seven games with nine hits, an RBI, and six runs scored. Broderick appeared in one game for Team USA, appearing in 3.1 innings in relief. He allowed three hits and no runs while compiling six strikeouts and two walks. Huskers to host 2026 defensive back next weekend
A class of 2026 recruit has scheduled a visit to Nebraska next weekend. JJ Dunnigan is a 6-foot-2 defensive back from Manhattan High School in Manhattan, KS. Dunnigan will be in Lincoln on July 27 to meet new defensive backs coach John Butler. Butler is taking over for Evan Cooper, who resigned last week for personal reasons. The new Cornhusker coach is excited to continue his career at Nebraska. “I am excited to join Coach Rhule, this staff, and the great tradition of Nebraska Football and the Blackshirt Defense.
