<body><div><img src="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?type=thumbnail_580x000&amp;url=3hTO06_0lhcQeCf00" alt="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=3hTO06_0lhcQeCf00" width="1920" height="1080" ><p>FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — Officers with the Fairfax County Police Department are investigating two separate shootings that happened just minutes apart Tuesday night in different areas of the county, leaving two people critically injured.</p><p>Around 11:47 p.m., officers with the police department reported to the parking lot nearby Isaac Newton Square North and Wiehle Avenue in Reston, Virginia, after a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, a man was found outside of his vehicle suffering from injuries to the upper body after being shot by unknown suspects. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries.</p><p>Police said the shooting did not seem to be a random act of violence and that it seemed to have happened inside the victim's vehicle. No other information was provided; this includes a person of interest or motive.</p><p>The second shooting happened within 10 minutes after the first one. Officers responded around 11:55 p.m. to the area of Furman Lane, off of South Kings Highway, after a report of a man being shot by an unknown suspect. The victim was taken to a local hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries. </p><p>Both victims remain in the hospital at this time, according to police.
