Homewood police officer expected to make a full recovery after Sunday shooting incident
A Homewood police officer is in stable condition and expected to make a full recovery after being shot on his way to work on Sunday morning. At 4:41 a.m. on Sunday, the officer was shot in the 2700 block of Ashley Manor in Moody. The officer was leaving the location to report to work, according to a press release by the Homewood Police Department.

ALDOT announces grants for municipal airports
The Alabama Department of Transportation today announced it has awarded over $22,000 in state funding to three municipal airports for improvements. The Ozark Municipal Airport in Ozark will receive $144,000 from the Federal Aviation Administration and $8,000 from a state grant for the construction of a corporate hangar. The airport will provide $8,000 in matching local funds for a total value project of $160,000.
