    Magnitude 3.3 earthquake strikes Northern California near Fairfield

    (FOX40.COM) — A magnitude 3.3 earthquake struck Northern California on Sunday in Solano County, according to the United States Geological Survey.

    The agency reported the earthquake around 2 p.m., saying it was about 8.6 miles southeast of Suisun, 9.1 miles southeast of Fairfield, and 37.4 miles southwest of Sacramento.

    Nearly 200 people reported feeling the earthquake, which was about 14 miles deep, the USGS said .

    A magnitude 3.3 earthquake falls within the “often felt, but only cause minor damage” range of the earthquake magnitude scale , which ranges from 2.5 to 5.4.

    No injuries have been reported nor has any damage to structures.
