Pickerington schools superintendent will announce retirement at Monday meeting
The Pickerington Local Schools superintendent is expected to announce his retirement during the district board meeting Monday. Chris Briggs, the Pickerington Local Schools superintendent, will announce his resignation for retirement purposes from the Fairfield County district on Monday, according to the board agenda. The resignation will be effective Jan. 31, 2025, according to a copy of the letter attached to the agenda. Briggs first came to the district as superintendent in 2017, The Dispatch previously reported.

Fairfield County takes over local transit system
LANCASTER − Fairfield County officially took ownership of the Lancaster-Fairfield Public Transit system Monday making it an official county department. “This is a significant milestone for our community," County Commissioner Steve Davis said in a statement. MORPC wants your feedback on Columbus-area road projects pitched to shorten commutes
The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) wants feedback on a number of road projects planned to start in the next few years. The $270 million in projects span multiple central Ohio counties, including Franklin, Fairfield and Licking. MORPC is currently asking the Ohio Department of Transportation for funding on these projects, and construction would start in 2025 or 2026.
