Fairfield Police Department Officer Rodney Steven Price, 56, was arrested Feb. 21 on charges of alleged invasive visual recording and voyeurism of a victim under 14 years old, according to Freestone County Sheriff’s Department records.

Price, who has been a Fairfield police officer since 2016 and was promoted to corporal in 2019, according to his Facebook page, resigned Feb. 29, said Fairfield City Secretary Misty Richardson.

Chief of Police David Utsey was out of the office for the week of March 3 and unavailable for comment, the city’s phone receptionist said.

Price, who lists his hometown as Wortham on his Facebook page, was arrested at the Sheriff’s Department.

Price was released on $10,000 bond the same day of his arrest.

Price attended Texas A&M University at Commerce, and he formerly worked at the Mexia State Supported Living Center, according to his Facebook page.
