The Fairfield Library staff and board members are thankful for all the community support given towards their 2024 Summer Program, which enjoyed a record number of attendees at the 45 events held.

Many volunteers gave their time, talents, and cash for this great cause which had 1,728 attendees. They want to again thank Community National Bank and Incommons Bank for sponsoring their two special events. Texas Snakes and More, and The Creature Teacher had over 140 attendees at each event, and the nine weekly Storytimes had 578 total attendees. There were many more great activities to mention here.

The library’s children’s programs continue throughout the school year. Pre-school Storytime is every Wednesday at 10 a.m., which includes crafts and snacks. For schoolaged kids there will be a Chess Club from 4 to 5 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month, and a 3D Printing Class on the remaining Tuesdays from 4 to 5 p.m. Other children’s events are being planned so be sure to follow the Library’s Facebook page @FairfieldTxLibrary to stay informed, or to see photos and reels of the exciting summer activities you may have missed.

Other programs such as the Learn Spanish/English Class meets at 10 a.m. every Tuesday, and the Fiber Arts Class meets every Friday at 10 a.m. The library will have their Annual Book Sale on Sept. 6 during their regular business hours and until 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7.

The library is also offering advanced technology training for Microsoft Word, Excel, andAccess. For these advanced classes, or just the Microsoft basics, contact Preston Scott via email at prestonscott2007@gmail.com, or talk to the library staff.

All events at the Fairfield Library are always free to the community. Donations are welcome and can be given at the library or through their website at FairfieldTxLibrary.org.
