Wortham woman killed in train-auto crash News Staff Thu, 05/16/2024 - 16:14 Image Body A Wortham woman died in a car-train collision about 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, just north of Wortham. Two children survived.Texas Department of Public Safety troopers responded to the crash on County Road 1001 near State Highway 14. A Honda Pilot, driven by Angeline Gama, 23, of Wortham, was struck by a train while crossing the tracks. She died at the scene. Two passengers, ages 6 and 3, were transported to a Waco hospital to be treated for possible injuries.According to DPS officials, the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
