Florida man arrested, accused of making threats against Trump, Vance on social media
A Florida man accused of making threats against former President Donald Trump, U.S. Sen. JD Vance and their families on social media was arrested on Friday, police said. The Jupiter Police Department said in a news release that officers arrested Michael W. Wiseman on charges of written threats to kill. He was taken into custody without incident and lodged in Palm Beach County Jail, according to Jupiter police Maj. Don Hennessy. Foley moves forward with plans to create entertainment district in historic downtown
FOLEY, Ala. (WPMI) — The entertainment district proposed for Foley could bring more business and activity to downtown without leading to problems with disruptive behavior. The Foley City Council approved a first reading of an ordinance to establish an entertainment district in the downtown area west of Alabama 59. The ordinance is scheduled for a final vote in August.

Alabama native becomes first Black, female Episcopal bishop in Mississippi
The new bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Mississippi is being formally installed Saturday, and she is first woman and first Black person to hold the post. The Rev. Dorothy Sanders Wells, a native of Mobile, Ala., was elected bishop in February and has been in the leadership role since May. She is being ordained and consecrated by the Most Rev. Michael Curry, presiding bishop of the Episcopal Church.

Sea Turtle Nest Vandalized In Orange Beach
A sea turtle nest was vandalized on Orange Beach on July 17th and 18th. The incident left one hatchling dead and several eggs broken, although most of the nest remained intact. The viability of the remaining eggs is uncertain. This act has prompted the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources to install cameras to monitor the nest and deter further incidents.
