MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — USA Health Women’s & Children’s Hospital is celebrating the milestone of 1,300 placenta donations. Since partnering in 2020 with TelaGen, a regenerative medicine company, USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital has had more than 1,300 mothers give birth and donate their birth tissues.

Columbia Southern University (CSU) has appointed JoAnne Bass as its new strategic advisor for government, military, and community relations. She served as the personal adviser to the Chief of Staff and the Secretary of the Air Force on all issues regarding the welfare, readiness, morale, and proper utilization and progress of more than 600,000 Total Force Airmen. Chief Bass was the 19th chief master sergeant appointed to the highest noncommissioned officer position.
