ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. (WBTW) — A Dillon man has been charged with multiple felonies including first-degree murder in connection with a deadly May shooting in Fairmont, the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office said.

Jason Tyvon McRae, 32, is being held without bond at the Robeson County Detention Center. He’s charged with first-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon, first-degree burglary, discharging a firearm in an enclosure to incite fear and felony conspiracy.

Authorities say the charges are related to the death of Shawn T. Campbell, 20, of Fairmont.

On May 23, 2022, sheriff’s deputies responded to 9310 Highway 130 Bypass in Fairmont, where Campbell was found dead inside a home.
