3 arrested in death of N.C. man missing since 2021
SCOTLAND COUNTY, N.C. (WMBF) - Deputies in part of North Carolina say three people were arrested in the death of a man last seen over three years ago. In a post on Facebook, Scotland County Sheriff Ralph Kersey said Michael Anthony Bethea Jr., Shelena Carter, and LeKeithan Tyson are all arrested Friday and charged in the death of Brandon Carl Wayne McDonald.

Florence man who died in N.C. kayaking incident identified
BUXTON, N.C. (WMBF) - Officials have identified a man from Florence who died in a kayaking incident over the weekend in North Carolina. Park officials said 72-year-old Ross Fulcher launched a kayak from the beach near Cape Hatteras National Seashore Saturday morning. Bystanders reported seeing the kayak flip while trying to ride away nearly 50 years from the beach.

Myrtle Beach to install new waterline
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - Crews in Myrtle Beach will soon begin installing a new water line in the city. The city said the installation will begin in September at the “Mama Canal” located near Broadway Grand Prix. The new line will also replace an almost 40-year-old waterline.
