    Warrant out for suspect in Fairmont bowling alley stabbing

    UPDATE: JULY 17, 4:36 P.M.

    FAIRMONT, W.Va. (WBOY) — The man accused of stabbing another man at the Fairmont bowling alley on Tuesday is still on the run.

    According to a press release from the Fairmont Police Department, the stabbing happened around 10:45 p.m. on July 16 after 39-year-old Richard Allen Moore II came into the Fairmont Bowling Center and starting an argument with a 29-year-old man.

    “The two went outside to continue the argument which resulted in a physical fight,” the release said.

    During that fight, the 29-year-old victim sustained a single stab wound to the right side of his chest. He is in stable condition at Ruby Memorial Hospital, according to police.

    Moore, who has been named the suspect and has a malicious wounding warrant, fled the scene on foot. The Fairmont Police Department and the Marion County Sheriff’s Department searched for Moore but were unable to find him as of Wednesday afternoon, the release said.

    The incident is still being investigated by the Fairmont Police Department.

    FAIRMONT, W.Va. (WBOY) — One person was injured and charges are pending against another after a fight outside the Fairmont Bowling Center ended in a stabbing.

    Fairmont Police Chief Steve Shine told 12 News that there was an argument that led to a fight outside the bowling alley on Kirkway Drive. According to Shine, during that fight, a 29-year-old was stabbed once in the chest area. The victim has a deflated lung but is expected to recover, Shine said.

    Charges are pending against a 39-year-old man, who Shine said fled the scene after the reported stabbing.

    Names of those involved or other details have not been released at this time.

    The Marion County 911 log shows a reported stabbing at 10:41 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16.
