The young boy who was struck by a vehicle while riding his bike in Firestone Park on July 11 has died, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office. Kingston Solomon, 7, passed away the next day, July 12, at Akron Children's Hospital at 2:35 p.m. His death was from blunt force trauma to the head and was ruled an accident, Gary Guenther of the medical examiner's office said.

Nonprofit that helps women achieve their educational goals to host golf fundraiser at Keystone Ranch
The Breckenridge chapter of Philanthropic Educational Organization, an international nonprofit organization that helps women pursue educational goals, is hosting a fundraiser at the Keystone Ranch course on Aug. 5. Entry costs $165 to play 18 holes of golf and participants get the use of a golf cart and the practice facilities, lunch delivered onto the course and prizes. The Breckenridge chapter has given over 107 local scholarships helping graduating high school women.
