Haverdill in his own right has brought Crestview to football prominance, his teams going 43-15 over the past five seasons, including back-to-back 12-1 campaigns in 2021 and 2022. … Kirtland boasts a powerful running game that churned out 506 yards last week against Dalton, with quarterback Jake LaVerde running for 341 yards and three touchdowns and Danny Alfieri scoring four more times. Defense was a question mark, however, with the Hornets surrendering an uncharacteristic 34 points, the most the program has given up since losing to Marion Local, 34-11, in the 2017 state championship game. Look for the Hornets to try and shore up that side of the ball this week. … Crestview running back Ayden Reymer carried 18 times for 138 yards and a touchdown in last week’s loss to Seneca East. Crestview’s defense is led by junior defensive back Dylan Burge, who had 126 tackles a year ago and is one of the top players in the Firelands Conference.

Ohio reminds public to tailgate responsibly during football, smoking non-medical weed in public is a misdemeanor
Following the recent launch of non-medical cannabis sales in the state earlier this month, Ohioans also are reminded that, according to the initiated statute passed by Ohio voters last November, the use of non-medical cannabis in a public area is considered a minor misdemeanor. Similar to alcohol, use of non-medical cannabis by individuals under the age of 21 is prohibited, and individuals who provide cannabis to minors can potentially face fines as well as possible jail time. In addition, Ohio’s law prohibiting smoking or vaping in public indoor spaces applies to marijuana as well. Like alcohol, it is illegal to operate a vehicle while under the influence of cannabis.
