UTC police collecting old phones to help domestic violence victims
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Each year, millions of men, women, and children are affected by domestic violence in the US. Authorities at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga are asking for your help in leading victims to a path of recovery. The project involves the collection of old cell phones.

Entering her third season as the head coach and director of volleyball at UTC, Mocs are coming off of their winningest season yet under Torbett Thomas direction in 2023. After finishing the year 19-14 and reaching the SoCon Tournament Semifinals for the second consecutive year, Torbett Thomas now has her sights set on bringing some titles home to the Scenic City. The Mocs will get their season underway on August 30 at the Alabama A&M Invitational, but fans can catch UTC early as the annual Blue-Gold Scrimmage is set to be played on August 17 at 6 p.m. at Maclellan Gymnasium and is open to the public.

Nursing Program at Chattahoochee Tech Ranked Top in the State
The nursing program at Chattahoochee Technical College has been ranked as Georgia’s top nursing program by RegisteredNursing.org. The Chattahoochee Tech nursing program achieved the state’s 2024 number one ranking with a top score of 98.22. This was followed by the University of North Georgia, scoring 96.53, and Kennesaw State University, scoring 96.47. Stolen vehicle leads deputies on an early morning pursuit
