    Earthquake detected near Fall Branch Saturday night

    FALL BRANCH, Tenn. (WJHL) – An earthquake was recorded near Fall Branch over the weekend.

    According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake occurred around 10:09 p.m. Saturday.

    Kingsport’s Netherland Inn officially reopens after renovations

    The USGS reports the 1.9 magnitude earthquake had a depth of about 5.6 miles.

    The earthquake was focused near the Greene County and Washington County line near Bank Drive, north of Interstate 81.

    As of Monday, no citizens reported feeling the earthquake to the USGS. Anyone who did may submit a survey online to the USGS .
