Emergency services and organizations recovering in the aftermath of worldwide cyber outage
SPRINGFIELD, Ore -- Local first responders and emergency organizations were unprepared for a tech outage to take out their systems. Organizations like PeaceHealth were one of several key emergency service providers that were caught off guard. Many of their machines in their centers all over the state were hit by the outage, including Springfield's Riverbend Hospital. Their main priority was keeping their centers active. Most were able to maintain operations, but not all according to Joe Waltasti, a spokesperson for PeaceHealth.
