July heat settling back in on Kansas
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The last weekend in July is shaping up to have some typical Kansas heat, but next week could get dangerous for much of the area as highs are likely to top 100 degrees on a large scale. We’ve issued Weather Alert Days for Tuesday and Wednesday as those could be some of the hottest days we’ve had all summer.

UPDATED: SFD responds to fire at Speakeasy storage shed
Several Salina Fire Department crews responded to a fire at the Speakeasy Bar and Grill, 2030 S Ohio Street, in Salina, this afternoon. Salina Fire Department Battalion Chief Chris Stansberry said at approximately 1:30 p.m. on July 25, Fire Engine Two responded to the Speakeasy within three minutes of receiving the call of a fire near the restaurant.
