    This week, we’ve got an upcoming concert with Joan Osborne at the Narrows Center for the Arts. Plus, see "Little Shop of Horrors" at the New Bedford Art Museum, an outdoor sculpture park exhibition at Four Corners Arts Center, and a special production presented by the Bristol Community College Theatre Program.

    Joan Osborne at the Narrows Center for the Arts

    Singer songwriter Joan Osborne will be performing at the Narrows Center for the Arts, 16 Anawan St., Fall River, on Saturday, July 20, at 8 p.m.

    Her iconic song "One of Us" was a Grammy-nominated hit.

    Doors open at 7 p.m.

    Tickets are $53 in advance, and $56 on the day of the show.

    A VIP meet-and-greet package is $203.

    See 1960’s ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ at New Bedford Art Museum

    Movie nights at the New Bedford Art Museum, 608 Pleasant St., continue on Thursday, July 18, at 6 p.m., with 1960’s “Little Shop of Horrors.”

    Curated by MJ Herrup, a film historian, documentary filmmaker, and founder of the New Bedford Film Society, these movie nights feature insightful film notes from Herrup, who also leads post-film discussions among audience members.

    “Little Shop of Horrors” is directed by Roger Corman.

    From bagels to Indian food:New Fall River restaurant owner adds variety to South End

    Outdoor sculpture park exhibition with Four Corners Arts Center

    You’re invited to the Four Corners Arts Center’s 29th annual “Ars Terra” outdoor sculpture park exhibition on Saturday, July 20, at 3 p.m.

    Coinciding with the South Coast Artists Open Studios Tour, this event is free and open to the public during daylight hours.

    The “Ars Terra” opening and artist reception will be held at the Meeting House porch, 3850 Main Road, Tiverton.

    Featuring installations by visiting artist Peter Morse as well as sculptures from the permanent collection, the installation is now in the sculpture grounds, through Oct. 31.

    The exhibit is sponsored by The Cottage at Four Corners with support from Brian Martins Landscaping.

    Coming soon: Bristol Community College Theatre Program locally premieres original piece set for Edinburgh Festival Fringe

    Bristol Community College’s Theatre Program will host a production of their original play, “Only the Ghosts Can Know,” on Thursday, July 25, at 5 p.m., and Friday, July 26, at 7 p.m., in the Main Stage Theatre at the Jackson Arts Center (H building), on Bristol’s Fall River campus, 777 Elsbree St.

    They will also perform the piece for international audiences this summer at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland.

    Created by Bristol students and faculty, the piece explores a variety of characters unaware of how deep their connections are to one another.

    The production features actors Jordan Daniel Smith, Micah Lima, Jonah Creaney, Quinn Carleton, Briana Lawrence, Brianna Pacheco, Caitlin Peck, Taylor K. Corbett, Maggie England and Reilly Pereira; scenic and lighting design by Jacob Perry-Niewola; costume design by Alexis Andrews; projections by Kiana Deleon, Kattie Quinn, Jovan Colon, and Jacqueline Dufault, as well as sound design and original composition by Bronwyn Pearson and Davon Fuente.

    This production is supported in part by a grant from both the Fall River Cultural Council and Taunton Cultural Council.

    Tickets are $15 for the general public; $10 for Bristol faculty and staff and non-Bristol students; $5 for Bristol students; and free for children under 13.
