    Massachusetts lottery winner plans to help family with $1 million Powerball prize

    FALL RIVER, Mass. (WWLP) – A woman from Fall River is the winner of a $1 million prize from a Quic Pic Powerball ticket.

    Plymouth man dreams of buying ticket before winning $1 million lottery prize

    According to the Massachusetts Lottery, Ida Reis of Fall River won the $1 million prize on a ticket that was purchased in Massachusetts from the drawing held on July 10th that featured a $39.9 million jackpot.

    Reis won her $1 million jackpot after the first five numbers on her Quic Pic ticket matched the numbers selected in the drawing. Her prize was claimed at the Massachusetts State Lottery’s Dorchester headquarters.

    She told the Massachusetts Lottery that she plans on helping her family with some of the winnings. The winning ticket was purchased at Amaral’s Central Market on Globe Street in Fall River. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus for the sale of this ticket.
