When do classes at Bristol Community College begin? Here are the dates you need to know.

FALL RIVER — Believe it or not, the summer of 2024 is nearly over. Within weeks, college students across the SouthCoast will head back to school to hit the books again and resume studies or, in some cases, start a college journey for the first time.

Bristol Community College has multiple locations across the region, with the main campus on Elsbree Street in Fall River and satellite campuses in Attleboro, New Bedford and Taunton. Last year, the school enrolled just over 6,000 students, two-thirds of them attending part time.

When do classes at Bristol Community College start?

Wednesday, Aug. 28: Bristol EXP, short for the Bristol Experience, is an event to get students acquainted with the campuses and the college environment

Thursday, Aug. 29: Opening day for faculty and staff

Tuesday, Sept. 3: Start of classes

Tuesday, Sept. 17: Start of classes for Flex Start students

Friday, Oct. 18: End of the semester’s first half

Monday, Oct. 28 : Beginning of the semester’s second half

Friday, Dec. 13: Classes end for the first semester
